Originally known as Arthur's Knitting Business, I set up shop in March 2024.

Whilst being off work with postnatal depression, knitting became something that helped to keep my hands and my mind busy during a dark and difficult time.

My mum and aunt had taught me to knit when I was a child so I already had the knowledge and a lot of knitting tools and materials.

But it was during this time that I had a very good reason to knit, I wanted to knit my son Arthur a jumper but couldn't find the pattern I had in mind so I decided to make one myself. 

As I was doing so, I found a passion for knitwear design and wanted to do more.

However, as I was writing my patterns, I realised that not everyone can read them with ease so made them beginner friendly by including diagrams, photos and video tutorials. It was this that lead me down the rabbit hole of creating beginner friendly craft kits and I haven't turned back since!

As a qualified secondary teacher, I am very confident in my instructions and have added a variety of resources to help different types of learners. I want knitting to be accessible for all who want to learn and since opening in March 2024, I have helped hundreds learn to knit and this year, have introduced crochet kits and crafting accessories.

After one year of being Arthur's Knitting Business, I wanted to introduce more crafts to help a larger range of people find a craft that suits them. That's how crochet joined the product list and it came with some sadness as I knew that Arthur's Knitting Business had to change; thus Arthur's Craft Corner was created. 
After some re-branding, Arthur's Craft Corner has grown significantly by including more crafting kits, 3D printed accessories and soon, weaving! 

During 2026 Arthur's Craft Corner will continue to expand and introduce more craft kits, supplies and accessories to ensure that crafting is accessible to all.
