The workshop I ran in May was such a fantastic experience and I have caught the bug! Working with Okura Design has been amazing but I have noticed that when I have had enquiries about my workshop I often get people who can't attend due to family or work commitments and I realised, I had the exact same problem.

Even before starting our family, I would be shattered after work and the last thing I would want to go is go home, change and head back out. So it got me thinking, how can I provide learning opportunities that are more inclusive? Then it hit me! HOME HABERDASHERY!
I would love to be able to say that I have purchased a gorgeous summer house and have decked it out with lavish furniture but I can't quite afford that just yet.
So what is the next best thing you ask? My dining room of course.
Since starting Arthur's Knitting Business in March 2024, I have based myself at my dining room table for many reasons. It has great natural lighting, I have a lovely garden view and it is close to the kettle and biscuit tin....
So I decided to open up my home to others. First things first, insurance! Which I have acquired through Markel for a very reasonable monthly rate. As soon as that was done I was ready to go.
I have my first session booked in and I am so excited!! I'm already planning on redecoration plans to make the room more inviting and have a massive order for candles and diffusers to create a calming environment.
Watch this space to see how this develops, the ultimate goal will be to one day have my gorgeous summer home, but like I said; the dining room will do for now.

As well as starting up my Home Haberdashery, I have also been busy photographing my new Bunting Kits ready for my Etsy store. I have had so many compliments on these little jumpers so I have already put a workshop together and have now put together kits for your own home.
