In order to follow this pattern you will need:
* 4mm knitting needles (I would reccomend 25cm in length)
* Double knit yarn, acrylic is a great yarn to start with because it comes in a variety of beautiful colours and is very hard wearing. Most can be washed at 40degrees and tumble dried!
* You don't need stitch markers but they can be helpful to identify certain parts of a pattern
