Knitting doesn't have to be so difficult! You just need the right teacher and that is where I come in.

I know what your thinking, I sound very big headed BUT I'm honestly not.
I do however have a lot of confidence in my teaching skills. I have been a qualified secondary school teacher for nearly 10 years so creating teaching and learning resources for me is second nature.

I have used a combination of photos, diagrams and even videos to teach you the fundamental skills of knitting which includes;
* What knitting actually is
* How to cast on your stitches
* How to knit your stitches
* How to purl your stitches
* How to knit the stockinette stitch
* How to cast off your stitches
 
This 11 page PDF booklet is A5 in size but can be printed onto A4 paper. 
 
It does not give you instructions on how to knit a product but teaches you the skills needed for a beginners knitting pattern. In order to use this pattern, you will need 4mm single point needles and double knit yarn. I would suggest using acrylic double knit yarn as it is hardwearing and the colours are beautiful.
Stylecraft is a very reliable brand and not too expensive either! Most charity shops will have these bits so if you don't want to buy brand new kit, you can grab a second hand set :)
